Go SMS Pro Double Notification (same app)

Bump for help someday..

I have the same problem. Hopefully it will be fixed. I would rather use the stock app, but one of my contacts will not work with group messaging in it for some reason. I'm stuck with this app for now.

A blue ribbon for whoever can solve this/convince the developers to fix it! That's got to be enough motivation!

I love the gopro app. Love it! But the double notification thing drives me nuts! I've emailed the developer as well with no response. It should be an easy fix!

go to the main Go SMS Pro window (not in a conversation), then go to Menu..settings (make sure you are in advanced settings mode)...OTHER SETTING.

make sure that "disable other message notification" is checked.
"Stock SMS uninstalled" should be UNCHECKED.

Mine is already setup like that, it is not a problem of double notifications from two different apps. When doing group texts, it comes in from the person who is replying as an MMS with a notification, then once it threads it and adds it to the proper group text it notifies again. It gets really annoying when people are replying in rapid succession and your notifications are just going off repeatedly.

I'm using GoSMS also, and this also has been bugging me.
Has anyone tried the other SMS apps?:

• Chomp
• Pansi
• Facebook Messenger

Has a solution been found yet? I have this same issue.

Additionally, I do not get an LED notification for the MMS/group messages

Still having this issue, disabled sound notifications for now as it was driving me mad. I want to try Handcent again but I am really liking gosms minus this one problem. Wish they would respond to emails.

I literally just fixed this problem for some reason there are multiple new message notifications switches go to:
Settings
Apps
Go sms pro
Notifications (tap)
Uncheck all but one new message switch
Done
