GO SMS PRO - Double outgoing messages

Hello,
I just installed go sms pro on my nexus 5 and I see the outgoing sms twice.
Any idea how to fix this?

i see the same thing in MightyText. i believe some SMS Apps need to be updated for KitKat.

Same deal here with GO SMS Pro, was going to give Handcent a try. Yes, GO SMS should be the default sms app, it handles incoming SMSs so I'm fairly certain it is.

Have reported this to the bugs team and they've told me it'll be fixed on the next update

Did you go into the hangouts app settings and unchecked the box that says something about using hangouts as the default texting app?

Same thing with handsent if you have any skins or emoji added

I was looking at GO SMS Pro in the play store to see if anybody was complaining about this issue in the reviews and I found a couple right on the main review page. Luckily they responded to one of them with this "GO Dev Team November 6, 2013 - Thank you for using GO SMS Pro. We are checking and repairing the problem you've mentioned in your letter, and will fix it soon. Please stay tuned for our next versions. Keep in touch!", hopefully we'll see a fix pretty soon.

Reinstalling didn't work for me

Using free version of Go SMS with no issues. Hand cent was force closing.

Had the same problem with handcent, but a restart seems to have fixed it. I also checked the setting to prevent resend.

I used to use go SMS, but I am using textra now. much clearer UI and no ads!

MightyText | SMS From Computer or Tablet just fixed this issue and have updated their app for KIT KAT 4.4!

that's what I did and its working fine but I was looking at MightyText I might give that a try

I have the same problem ... restarted it still same problem. I even disabled hangouts
