Go SMS Pro not displaying contact pictures after ROM?

Hey all,

I've been running the BAMF ROMs for a few weeks now and I love them. I upgraded from 1.4 Remix to 1.5 Remix recently, and now the contact pictures in Go SMS Pro don't show up (they did when I was running the 1.4 Remix ROM).

I had installed 1.5 over 1.4, only wiping cache and Davlik so I thought something might be wonky with the way I flashed. So this morning I wiped all data and cahces, and re-flashed 1.5 Remix but I still don't have contact pictures in Go SMS Pro.

They do show up if I just browse my contacts, and they also show up in the stock messaging app.

Is anyone else having issues? Like I said this was working before. I checked and re-checked the options and it looks like it should be working.

Let me re-phrase... Is anyone running BAMF 1.5 Remix and Go SMS Pro? Do you still have contact pictures?

I just want to see if it's only me or a more wide spread issue.

I have BAMF 1.5 Remix/4.4.2 and have no problems with the contact pictures. Go to Settings > Appearance Settings > Inbox Customization > Display Contact Pictures? > Yes

Ok, thanks very much for the information. I did check that and I'm set to YES for displaying contact pictures. I also checked in Settings > Application Settings and checked the "Display Facebook profile photos ..." option also. No love.

Still no contact pix? Maybe try uninstall then install Go Pro again see if it makes a difference.

I tried the re-install today without any luck.

I'm not sure if this is related or just another oddity, but when I bring up my phone dialer my contacts do not show up above the keypad. Strange. I can bring up my contacts by hitting Menu > People but I just see a blank screen if I exit and go back in to the dialer.

I'm wondering if this isn't a Go SMS issue but maybe something more system related?

Ah well, everything else is great and it's not that big of a deal.

I did see info about GO SMS and contact pictures via Market. It says if you have installed the new Facebook application update this week, there are issues with the contact pictures showing up because the new update blocks 3rd party apps to be used with FB...

Thanks so much! I believe you've hit the nail on the head. I actually found a Go SMS logfile on my sd card last night with some "permission" type of error.



EDIT - Just an FYI, Go SMS Pro released an update and my contact pictures are back. Yaay!

IT has to be something in the settings but I have done everything talked about in this thread. I'm running Android Revolution 6.2.1 (ICS 4.0.3) and sense 3.6. I have a couple pics from my contacts but not all displayed in GO SMS Pro. So I am further confused as to why a couple appear and most do not. Any further ideas, much appreciated.
