Goggles vs Barcode Scanner

two different animals for me -

Barcode Scanner = Barcode Scan and Search

Goggles = Camera Photograph Search

Goggles didn't work at all for me...never was able to find what I searched and was a constant drain on my battery

im pretty much thinking the same. half the time it doesn't return any result and the only time it works well is on a well known logo - like Coca-Cola. i've tried QR codes & regular barcodes with it & got nothing.

I've been using Goggles as a barcode scanner as of late. It's usually a bit quicker, but not as reliable. Just remember to use the cropping tool.

I've used Goggles on paintings and gotten artist info either on that painting or similar ones (about 35-40 % of the time). Very impressive.

If Im scanning a barcode, barcode scanner. It doesn't actually have to take a picture or anything. Just hold it up.

If I wanna have fun and show off my phone. Goggles.

goggles is great for taking a pic of a business card and then the ability to import directly into contacts.

To be honest I can't stand Goggles. It rarely ever finds anything I scan but Googles Shopper App works perfectly for scanning barcodes. I predict Goggles becoming a scrapped project within the next 18 months.
