Going back to the Mini

Wanting a new phone, but not wanting to increase screen size from my GNex (I carry the phone in my pocket), I bought the Mini the day it came out. I was really quite happy, but was intrigued by the X: it felt better in my hand in the store, and it felt lighter. I know the weight is the same, but the Mini feels more dense.
Being both anal and compulsive, I bought the X to at least satisfy my neurosis.
Result: I think I'll return the X. The X does feel better in the hand, and in the pocket it feels less bulky. However, the screen was awful, IMO. Maybe that is a bit strong, but compared to the Mini, it was less bright and had a murky tinge to it. I want to say I noticed a decrease in sharpness, but I think it was the color/brightness.
I wish the Mini had the materials of the X, but on balance this is an easy decision for me. And that's saying something, as I tend to agonize over trivia. :-)

Which Mini did you purchase?

Going through all the options in my head and want to make sure I am reading correctly =)

I'm sure you'll be likely to find some more encouraging words of affirmation in the Droid Mini forum...

They have the same display if I'm not mistaken however with the mini being 4.3 instead of 4.7 inches it could appear ever so slightly sharper but not by much. As long as you are happy that's what matters!

I think the mini is LCD and a higher PPI (not by much)

XT1060. Through spacetime.

Yes, TFT LCD. Amoled is supposed to be better, however.

Better is a very subjective description of screen quality. Personally I like LCD quite a bit better, so do many others. Although I can't wait to get a moto x. :-D

I generally like LCD better also but the Moto X screen looks good to me.

here is one thing to consider. Moto X is much more popular than droid mini so you get better support for Moto X

played with the mini next to the moto x in the store. it just didnt feel right, the X felt much better in the hand and the screen size did matter. good luck.
