Hello all.
Forgive me if this has already been asked, but I'm not able to find it in the Sprint Optimus S subforums. Anyhow, I currently have HydroROM running on my phone but I'm thinking of going back to CM7. I'm happy enough with HydroROM, except for the fact that it doesn't provide 270-degree rotation of the screen display. For one reason and another, I'd really like the phone to have this capability, and, apparently I need to go back to CM7 to get it. In fact, I used to have CM7 on this device, but for still other reasons that need not detain us now, display rotation wasn't as much of an issue for me.
So how to set about this? The difficulty I encounter is that I apparently need to revert to stock before I can flash CM7. Since before flashing Hydro, I installed the corrected Gingerbread update from Sprint and then re-rooted, I believe I'm on v9 now, and, because I'm running Hydro my current baseband is MVJ (or ZVJ). From the CM7.2 thread over here, that procedure to flash CM7.2 apparently won't work on my device, because I no longer have ZVD. I'd have to get my phone back to ZVD rooted condition in order to flash CM7, as I understand all this. Can I use zefie's instructions for unrooting and returning to stock?
It does seem that flashing CM10 would be much more straightforward, but I'm a little hesitant. Notwithstanding what a good dev we know thekraven to be, I'm not sure I want to flash a relatively new beta just yet.
