Going from Note 9 to Ultra

This was my first time ordering online. Preordered through t mobile. Rep said I can switch everything myself. I've used smart switch before so I'm good on that front and i just watched a video on how to switch out a sim (never done it since all my upgrades have been in store). So when I switch my sim from my note 9 to the Ultra, will I have to activate anything or should everything carry over to the Ultra? I chose not to trade in my Note 9 I want to keep it for my backup plus I love this phone. So do I have to do any sort of new phone activation? Rep said prompts will be on the Ultra to set it all up, but the sim switch videos I've seen there's no prompts or activations. Once the sim went into the new phone it had the t mobile service icon on the top and that was it. So all I have to do is put N9 sim into Ultra then do my smart switch? And do the phones have to be powered off? Thanks in advance!

Once you pop the Sim card in everything should be good to go. You can also backup your info to Samsung cloud and bring it to the new phone the same way. Just make sure your photos are on an SD card or backed up to the cloud.

When I went from S8 to Note 9 I used Smart Switch. Think I'll do the same again.

I am also getting this one, too
