Going from WiFi to mobile data

Going from WiFi to mobile data I get the message saying that mobile data is turned off when it is on. My N6 will then require several minutes to get a data signal. This usually happens when the WiFi @ work is so slow I switch it off, but then mobile data takes awhile to take over. Anyone else have this happen?
