Going to do a factory reset. How does that work with apps on SD?

After system upgrade, I need to do a factory reset. I have 40 apps that I've moved to SD. I know the apps are partially on the SD and partially on the internal storage. When I reinstall those apps, how does that work when some of them are partially on the SD?

Sadly, you will have to move them to the SD again, after the restoring of your apps.

During the factory reset, it will ask you whether you want to format the SD..unless you have pictures, videos..etc that you need to save..you may consider doing that to clear all the old app data from the SD.

Isn't there a folder where the apps are called Android/Data? Couldn't i just delete that?

Or...if i move apps to SD would they just overwrite the apps already there?

Each app is different, folders are scattered all over the place on the SD.

Yes, you can let the overwrite happen, but you can having unnecessary folders on your SD.

Its your choice, but the cleaner way to do it, is let the apps create new folders on the SD.

Why waste the effort? If you have no data other than apps on the SD, format that muther and be done with it.

Moving apps back to internal, accomplishes nothing, other than wasting your time.

I have a lot of data on the SD: business videos, music, podcasts, pictures. All-in-One Toolbox does make the moving of apps to/from SD a little easier - I guess I need to figure out which is the lesser of 2 evils!

Oh and the backup/reset thing - does it save app passwords?

Right you were about the reformatting. Not only did the problem stop, but my battery life improved dramatically! Thanks!
