For myself, but will "give" it to my wife, once the EPIC comes out...
I have some questions...

-Video capture and pictures are crap, right?
-No rooting for this guy, yet, correct?
-No active wall papers either?
-Do most of the cheaper, free, games and apps from the appstore work ok?
-Is it really good and sluggish?
-Wi-fi router and Titanium backup will not work on this phone unless rooted, correct?
-Are there any mod communities or groups dedicated to this phone...
-How is Google Navigation and voice recognition on this phone, on par with the EVO?
-This phone has wi-fi right? But only 802.11g
-How is battery life for this phone?

I read in a review that battery life is decent, with moderate use it should last about a day. No live wallpapers on the phone itself but I dont know if you can download the ones in the market. Most apps should work since it is using Android 2.1. Wifi is 802.11 b/g. Picture quality is decent but doesnt compare to the other android phones like the Droid X or Evo. No rooting that I know off yet. Hope I was able to somewhat help out. If anything google a review for the phone. There is a bunch of them and you can always get a pretty good idea.

I got this phone for my wife this past weekend and she is absolutely in love with it (coming from a Curve 8330m). I will answer the questions the best I can.

1) The camera does not have a flash, so unless you're in good light, photos do look a bit "off" We downloaded the app called Vignette (I have it on my EVO, too) and it does a better job making the camera work better than the stock App.

2) No Root yet, as I have searched but found nothing

3) No active wallpapers either. Not a deal breaer for me.

4) Haven't really downloaded much from the appstore on her phone. What we have noticed is that the screen is an odd size so some apps don't show up on it.

5) Phone is a little sluggish - mostly with the touch sentive buttons at the bottom. There is a software update that is pushed as soon as you activate the phone, but it's okay none the less. Coming from a BB curve, my wife was accomodating. No lag when going from portrait to landscape, either.

6) Correct, phone needs to be rooted. I am not sure this phone has the "Mobile Hot Spot" feature, though...but I may be completely wrong on this.

7) None that I can find.

8) Google navigation works great. Voice recognition is okay. About the same as my EVO.

9) WiFi is only B/G

10) Battery life for my wife is okay. We use Google Talk all day to chat, and she is on Facebook a lot. She sends some texts and calls and what not and she usually is at 35% remaining by the end of the day.

Hope that helps.
