Going to try to exchange the TB for another one...need some help

Im in the 14 day period as my phone has been acting up....Ive been getting bad reception problems on my phone... Dropped calls and such... My friend also has a TB and he consistently gets 2-3 bars better than me... I switched over from at& t hoping to get excellent service...Ive taken care of this phone like it were my baby lolz...do you think i have a viable case for an exchange with verizon? I bought the phone from Verizon website btw

i love every bit about this phone btw...i know i got a bad phone

14 days they won't even ask. Just take it in and get a new one.

Before you exchange the phone it might be worth pulling the battery, SIM card, and micro SD memory card for 15 or 20 minutes and then rebooting to see if that helps correct the problem. Also, have you received the MR2 OTA update? If not, also but sure to update the software. Do the update before doing the battery pull, etc., but do both.

Get them to restart your 14 day trial too. You will need some time.

Just saying that if you have been trying to evaluate a broken phone for 8 of your 14 days, try to get them to give you another 14 days to evaluate the new replacement.

Sounds only fair to me. Shouldn't be THAT big a deal.

Very true sometimes the replacement phone issues are not apparent right away and u don't want to be stuck with a broken phone. And make sure when u go u get a new phone not a certified like new replacement

do you think they'll give me a headache with doing an exchange for a new TB? i dont want any other phone except the TB...i dont want to go through all the troubleshoots with the resets and such because I know for a fact its my phone thats not getting good reception

The only down side is that the WFG return period is issued only once per new contract signed. You will have lots of problems actually getting them to accept a second 14 day trial period, as if we issued an extra 14 days for every defective device returned, you could theoretically stay in your 14 day window indefinitely.

You could, however, return your device and rescind the contract and try to get a new contract... however, do not quote me on that. There may, and probably is, a clause preventing that sort of thing.

so i went to the verizon store to exhange my phone... They were real smooth with the exchange as i got a brand new TB. I was in and out of the store in 15 minutes... So when i got home i found out the phone wasnt updated... No biggy... I sgarted with the update and half way it would say service. Unavilable... I kept trying to update with no success... Is this normal? Any fix to this or do I have to go back to verizon?... Thanks all for your help :)

Sounds like a data connection issue. Go somewhere with a great connection and retry

You need to get a good data connection and try again

Thank you all for the great info... I long story short i got a brand new replacement and also updated to the new software... I was having trouble with the DL because i DLing in the basement... As soon as i went upstairs the DL was completed... Overall i am very satisfied with Verizon Customer service... Also my reception has been fixed... I knew i got a faulty phone...
