This may sound strange to you guys but starting from way back from when we were all anxiously waiting for the tb to be released (remember those days?) up to today . i went and bought the rezound today, just wanted to thank everyone for all there help and advice on here on the tb forums. after i rooted my tb and i am pretty sure i have flashed every rom thats been out there on the tb lol, you guys have been great and very patient with me and i just wanted to say thank you. now i can only hope there will be a root for the rezound and just as many roms for it as the tb or else i will be extremely bored at nights on here .

well so far the battery has been pretty good, nothing compared to the tb when we first opened them up out of the box. havent really had a chance to play around with it as of yet

Comparing the screens, how much better is it then the tb? I hear its amazing!

I am the same boat but I am going for the Nexus. I still have my Thunderbolt and can not imagine getting rid of it lol! The thought of what we all went through during pre-release makes me cringe but I would not trade it lol! I will definitely stick around because I love this phone but I am seriously considering the rezound because it seems like a nice phone
the screen is pretty hot! it's smaller than the tb so i have to get used to that no kick stand that blows, had to buy a shell/holster with a kick stand on it but its still not the same, no fm radio lol, its a nice phone, havent really played around with it yet , the battery is good on it though, nothing compared to what we went thru with the tb.
well i dropped my tb this past weekend and half the screen was ruined the top half, i went to the store and they moved up my upgrade so i can get a new phone, thats how i ended up getting the rezound, luckily i asked a friend that works for verizon if anything could be done with my tb and the screen he said call me back in 15 minutes. i called back and he told me they will be sending me out another tb lol. i just got the other one today, got it rooted and its all set to go. so now i have two nice phones dont know which one to use now lol.
Just to clarify... that friend did not get it as a warranty replacement, right? Unless he works for our CRW Billing, he won't be able to waive the $299 damaged device fee if you return the damaged one, and even then he risks losing his job.
If it was just a new phone, then disregard that. Enjoy the new phones!
to be honest with you i dont know what he did, all i know is the phone came yesterday and i am returning my phone today in the mail.
Where I would worry if I were you: You only return the phone to Verizon if its a warranty exchange... for insurance claims the phone is returned to Asurion. You would know the difference. You would have needed to talk to Asurion specifically to get an insurance replacement.
The warranty replacement process clearly states that if the device malfunction is cause by any customer abuse, physical damage, or liquid damage, you can be assessed a charge of $299.
I would strongly advise calling your friend before you send that back to make sure first, because if the screen stops working properly after you dropped the phone, that very likely could be classified as customer abuse/physical damage. Its not hard to figure it out, either.
