Good dilemma, But need advice

no my damn Dell does, and I am on my third one! maybe it is the way I type....nah ...manufacturer defect...that is the ticket!

Hate to say this but...buy a Mac? lol

We need to get a RAZR person in here, then it'll be complete!

No worries :) ... i'm just glad your giving your point of view as well as experience with the Rez.

TY, I just hope that I am being as impartial as i think I am. I soooooooooooooooooooo wanted the nexus, got the rezound. enough said..

Partial or impartial i welcome the input. I'm a very indecisive person and I'm more than likely going to based my decision on what's discussed here lol.

No what you should do is get one, run with it for a week and then take it back and get the other, At the end of those weeks, decide.

DM and I can back and forth all day, what it comes down to is what works for you in your area. period.

I'll chime in as a Nexus and Razr Maxx owner. I really, really want the Nexus to be my main phone, but the signal strength issues it what is making me use the Maxx right now.

The Maxx does feel funky in your hand because it's so thin. It has a great screen, it's responsive and of course battery life is great. The radios are the best. -83 dBm on the Maxx, and -101 on the Nexus in the same spot. I like having the SD card so I can swap it when switching phones, unless it's the Nexus. Call quality is good. Camera is slow.

I'm receiving a replacement Nexus on Tuesday. Some people go through 3 or more until they get a good one. This will be my third. I love ICS, and just the over look and feel of the phone. It's the phone I would use as my daily driver if the radios were better.

So the Maxx is a great phone and will get ICS by the end of the month. And I really like it. I just prefer vanilla Android and the speed and flexibility of the Nexus.

Oh, IMO, the Maxx screen is better in sunlight.

been there done that...LOVE that it is in English. More than likely the best guide on AC.

Thank you, I appreciate that greatly :).

I figure that if we're trying to win this time honored that I might as well bring out my big guns lol ;)

Re: NickA - you're the first one (or you seem like the first one) to be really impressed with the MAXX screen. I've used one and it was the dealbreaker for me when deciding whether to stick with this phone or swap. I've also been through 4 (including my current), but those were freak issues, nothing like signal loss or anything like that.

Have you read my Don't Panic guide yet? :D

Not yet...... I don't think so at least lol. I have 20-25 tabs open in firefox reading different reviews and forum threads on the three phones. But i'll be sure to read it.

I might do exactly what pizza said and try one for a week and then the other for a week. That actually is a good idea.

It's a really good idea, just be careful in those weeks not to do any damage!

Re: Don't Panic -- it's basically an everything guide to customizing your Nexus. Like I said, this phone is an absolute leviathan when rooted/flashed, but some folks (like myself) have no idea what they're doing. So I broke everything down with tips, hints, etc. etc.

WHAT?!?!?!?!? i cannot hear you, are you on a Gnex?

I got nothing but that...

No sorry the Maxx screen is not even close to the rezound or the nex. No i did not use it for more than 5 minutes, but that was all I needed

I was surprised too. I've had strangers comment on how good the screen looks. I really like it though. Colors may be a bit saturated but that's ok with me.

My 3G was much improved with 4.0.4, but the 4g won't hold a signal. I'll get a good one eventually; I'm not giving up.

....and he did a great job with it. The biggest thing is to READ. get up on your device and what you want to do with it. get the terminology down. Whe I say flash an RUU to solve the issue, that is old hat and no biggie. Education is the key.

I agree. I wasn't really comparing it to my Nexus, but just saying it looks really good IMO. But in direct sunlight, the Maxx looks better to me.

I think for me, the MAXX screen was just too pixelated; this was when the GN came out and the screen (same with the Rez, really) really POPPED. It does suck in daylight, but b/c of my intense OCD I refuse to whip it out in broad daylight.

Yeah i just could not deal with the Maxx screen coming fro the CHarge or even the Fascinate...

The biggest thing about reading and knowing what is going on is when you are "experienced" something new will crop up and you know not to panic. I think of myseld as experienced and as a geek, but I had an issue the other day. Reading told e that it was not a biggie...it can be solved...

I edited my post to show that i didn't mean that i'm an expert at all. Just enough to know that i like to flash and fiddle with my phone a lot lol.
