Our organization has finally jumped on the Good For Enterprise App bandwagon. Unfortunately, I will have to add this app and stop using Touchdown as my work email App.

There have been some concerns that our personal information will not be private to our organization and the company could inadvertently wipe the entire phone. I currently have a Note 3.

I'm considering getting a second phone for work only email. Is this an overkill strategy? I have nothing to hide but I'm not sure if I like them having access to my personal information outside the app.

Feedback is welcomed!

1) According to the app. IT can wipe corporate data without wiping private information, so I'd say your personal data is as safe as your trust of your system administrator is.

2) If it's a 900A or 900V (AT&T or Verizon), you can install Safestrap. back up the stock ROM, add it, or another ROM, to another slot, and use that for your personal work. When you're booted into the stock slot - the one with Good For Enterprise - your private ROM isn't accessible at all. (IMO, after 40 years in this business, I think that's the direction corporate security should have headed - dual-boot, rather than the equivalent of a supposedly-secure storage area [Knox is about as secure as securing a door with a piece of tape] that's more trouble than it's worth.

GFE data is completely sandboxed from the rest of your phone, and your administrator can only get access to the data inside that sandbox.
