Good for media?

I was at bestbuy and some Samsung salesman was telling me the Note 2 was for business and the Galaxy S4 is for entertainment. Is the Note 2 a good entertainment device for youtube/video/netflix, music, games, etc?

I think so. Probably had the best on-screen time of any smartphone i've ever had and the biggest screen.
When I had it all I did was play games and youtube and it still lasted me through the day.

Of course the note 2 is good for media, with this screen and battery it's great for media

It's great for music as it has one of the best DAC you can get on a phone. As for video, 5.5" is better then 4.99". The Note 2 is great for games as well. I would say it's much better then the S4. I love my Note 2 and it feels good that I won't have to upgrade for a good while.

The S4 has faster graphics processing, but that's about the only advantage and you probably won't notice it much except maybe on some very graphic intensive games. As far as movies, music, and most games go though, it will be far more powerful than even necessary. I use mine almost exclusively for business purposes, but I do play a game here and there and it works great! And, of course, if you're an artistic type, the the Spen is a fantastic tool.

Both are great phones. Both have similiar benefits. The s4 has a slighlty smaller screen but is 1080p, its camera is getting rave reviews as well. I love my note 2 and hopefully the note 3 gets what the current gs4 has.

I hope the last article i saw was right and that we are going to get optical zoom with the 13 mp camera in the note 3....kicking it up a notch and then some,,,,love my note 2 but cant wait for the note 3

I read that article right here on AC. But wouldnt thay make the note 3 the first phone with a true optical zoom? I thought that required moving parts.

Same article i read also one on another site, and yes they said it would require moving parts. An amazing camera is at the top of my wish list for the note 3. i don't ever use my big nikon dslr anymore....too much to carry around. the pics with the note 2 are fine but excellent would be even better
