New Good Lock 2019 update brings bug fixes and some new functionality

It took considerable time for Samsung to make Good Lock compatible with Android Pie . The first stable Android Pie update for a Galaxy device started going out in late December last year, but Good Lock only received Pie compatibility early last month. However, the development team behind Good Lock seems to now be making up for lost time, as the app has now received an update with a plethora of bug fixes. The changes in the new update apply to the LockStar, QuickStar, TaskChanger, and NavStar plugins; LockStar is getting the brunt of bug fixes, as you can see in the changelog in the screenshot below. Some new features have been thrown in as well, with an especially long list for TaskChanger because there is separate new functionality for both Android Pie and Android Oreo users. A substantial update, in short, pretty much like all Good Lock updates released by Samsung. The latest Good Lock update is now available in the Galaxy Store app and also through our APK database for those who would like to sideload the update. Remember that the plugins need to separately updated, and if you already have them installed, you can just open Good Lock and tap the store icon next to each plugin to go to its page on Galaxy Store and hit the update button there. Like the main app, the APKs for the plugins are available in our database as well. Not sure what Good Lock is and how to set it up? We have a detailed guide that should help you jump on-board. I want to like Good Lock but I always end up deleting it after a few hours. For the task changer, I don't like the animation when selecting a new app in the recent apps screen. The app you pick kind of drops away rather than zooming in on the app you pick. I think this looks terrible. It looks very clunky and unrefined. I do like the options and effects for scrolling through recent apps. I love being able to change the notification tray and make it transparent and blurred but I noticed that the blur effect only works if you pull down from the very top of the display. When use the gesture to pull down from anywhere else on the screen, it is not blurred. I'm surprised that it's more refined since Samsung designed the app. I just have too many gripes with this app.

I absolutely love it. One hand operation is essential, as is the task changer. I prefer the 'list' option so you can see all your open apps at once.

I have it mainly for recent apps scrolling. Love it

I haven't tried one hand operation yet.

Once you get used to it, going back to swiping from the bottom to switch tasks, go back etc. seems like too much work (first world problems). Samsung has done a great job of getting me locked into their ecosystem. I would throw in the edge panel with that as well. I will never be able to switch to another phone. Good job Samsung!

Not familiar with good lock?
Can change your notifications panel, recent app scrolling, host of other things , I recommend u look into it

Did it fixed the choppy lag with the quickstar being pulled down on the lock screen? If you used a custom lock screen wallpaper the lag when pulling down the notification panel was horrible. I had to shut it off.
