Need something professional for my job.. Needs to keep everything secure & compliant and it would be a plus if it was convenient for me. Saw a post that someone mentioned OnPage (onpage.com) going to check it out and post my feedback

Looks like a good messaging app but i need more than just messaging. I did check out OnPage and wanted to post my thoughts..

OnPage boasts as "priority messaging" but it is essentially an application that lets you turn your pager into your smartphone. Instead of your messages going to your pager, they go through their application with a persistent audible alert. What's nice is that OnPage says that it has it's own dedicated inbox/outbox for receiving these messages. I have considered just doing SMS or email to receive my pages, because receiving them on my phone would be the easiest.. although i realize now that i would not be able to distinguish between what was a family or personal message and what was a critical message.

Everything looks really good so far so I'm going to download the free 14 day trial and then I'll review it and let you guys know.

In case anyone else is looking for a pager application.. here is my review of the onpage app free trial:

Downloaded the app onto my phone, and the process only took a couple minutes. It is pretty user friendly and easy to use & learn. The interface is nice and pleasant. The second i downloaded the app and registered to create my profile, i immediately got a welcome page.. that pager sound they have is completely unmissable! Loud, and repeating, it definitely stood out from any other sound on my phone. I came to find out that all incoming pages via the app sound this way. I thought that this was great, and just what i was looking for!

Some more positives: Some good features include multiple ways to page a user. You can page via phone, email, or app to app. Can change your ringtone, put your pager in pager off mode and reply & forward messages

Some negatives:The phone to page is a bit cumbersome for those who rely on a lot of pages via the telephone. You have to dial a toll free # then the ID (user account) and then enter in your callback number.. Not ideal for some user cases.

I started testing out this app as a free trial, but my trial is soon expiring and i am thinking of signing up! The pricing is okay.. but it is exactly what i am looking for so i think it will be a good change! Good bye Pager! If anyone else decides to try it let me know!
