So, after having a Thunderbolt for 3 days and tons of reboots, I switched my TB for the Charge. After having this, I have to send it back. I have the Fascinate, and I don't see any huge differences to justify $300. 4G is only available at my work, and the larger screen with Super Amoled Plus just doesn't make it worth it. $70 in restock fees later, I had the chance to test drive 2 4G devices...and fail to find a decent upgrade.

The real question is, should I just hold out with my Fascinate, or is a phone like the LG Revolution worth it? After past LG products, I just don't know if I should give it a chance. I just don't want another $35 fee.

Any help is appreciated.

Might as well check out the Droid X2 or wait until the end of the year. If you did not like either the Thunderbolt or the Charge you will most likely not like the Revolution.

In all honesty, if the 4G speeds (when used) and the screen didn't 'wow' you into keeping it, then the Rev will be an even bigger disappointment IMO.

You should have went thru best buy or Costco... would have saved yourself $70!

yea iam not excited about the 4G phones especially the battery life on them, so for now ill stick with the iphone 4 with excellant battery life and jailbreaking!!!

considering you have tried both devices the LG will not be the answer for you. Sounds like your in a position where nothing launching in the next month will provide anything mind blowing. Fascinate is a nice device and a hard sell to upgrade in none LTE areas. I would say you may want to wait for the next galaxy s2 device...

I just left Best Buy, it's $299.99 in South Bend Indiana. Still not worth using my upgrade for it. I will wait until the right phone shows up. Love my Fascinate. (completely stock)

Best Buy will match prices, and Costco has it for $250... I just picked mine up yesterday from them.

So far on the day... 12hrs 30mins, 4G all day, and I'm down to 4%. I'll do a test later this week with 3G only to test the difference in battery life.

wow!! thats terrible, thats the only reason i dont go back to android any android is that stinkin battery life!! and i love androids!!

That's what happens when you use a better phone. Battery life suffers.

I wish that made sense...

Seriously, I resisted iPhones like the plague, but their battery lfie certainly leaves something to be desired for Android users.

Blackberries and iOS both have things to say against Android for battery life. (people that follow me know i am fairly even on my thoughts for all platforms, BUT this is how i see the prob with android.. it isnt the OS it is the manufacture. I.E. I own a Viewsonic G-Tablet the OS was TERRIBLE at first and now runs great and i have AMAZING battery, my VZW HTC Incredible has horrid battery life until rooted and ran with a new ROM .. Same thing with the Epic and a multitude of others. I am the first to say i love my phone (and Android) but the battery sucks not because of Android but as a crap version of it edited by companies...

please dont turn this into a "fragmentation" or "lack of control" post cause i don't think that is it. i am a firm believer that Android has grown SOOOO fast that the companies haven't figured out how to share (funny how a open source thing works against that sometimes) and have had in house people try and piece things together under their umbrella instead of appreciating the "openness" of the OS. They are still battling to make this mark on what should be simple and OPEN.. we should never have discussions of "man that phone has touchwiz or sense or Bing" that is what we and our amazing Devs are trying to work around...

(And down from my soapbox ;) )
