Goodbye, Samsung.

The price of a comparable iPhone will be higher than the Note.

Not for what I want.

The iPhone 12 max will start at $749 (if all the leaks are correct). Note 20 is going to start at $999.

Plus I dont want a curved screen and I want more than 2 years of software support.

So in the Android world that limits me to a Pixel.

I love my Note 9 but IMO it was the last of the great Samsung phones and I dont like the direction they have gone.
The curved screen design serves no functional purpose and makes the phone more fragile.
Plus at only 2 years I know my phone is now done with software updates.
For $1000 that sux.

Just like glass backs, and yet those are everywhere too.
And even the lower end mid-range phones that have the more durable plastic backs, they try so hard to make them look and feel like glass.

The Pro is the comparable phone and is more expensive than the Max.

You need to do your research.

The regular Note 20 will be more comparable to the non Pro iPhones.

The Note 20 Ultra will be more comparable to the Max Pro.

I'm really shocked at how price competitive the iPhones have become. Two years ago I bought the 256GB Max for 1250. They skipped 128GB and included 64GB which wasn't attractive. Now they have become bigger and cheaper. Which means they really squeezed their customers back then. It is still a terribly boring phone IMO.

I can remember when I phone was the last people to leave was it 16gb storage.

And I had to delete pictures to do a software update.

Apple don't offer any memory. Still.

You got the right to buy whatever you want. I picked up an iPhone 6 brand new from a yard sale unlocked unopened and only for 25 bucks. Going on a year and the phone is ok nothing special. It does still get updates that's it.
Some of the family have Androids some iPhones.

I use them both included my wife's work iPhone 11 pro if it's near me. Nothing special about that phone.
I think the note 10 plus destroys the iPhone 11 pro taking video and pictures. I've seen them both. Front selfie on the iPhone is better to me.

But I'll never buy a new iPhone. When this iPhone 6 dies that's it for Apple. They just aren't my cup of tea.

People should be able to express themselves any way they want as long as no cursing involved.
People should be aloud to hate the iPhone and post their concerns.

Buy what makes you happy.

Come on August 5th, So I can order my Note 20 ultra. I will keep my note 10 plus and trade in the s20 ultra my daughter gave me.

I say all that to say this. It's my right to spend my money the way I want. And if I don't like iPhones because they are just boring in my opinion, then that's my right. It's not personal. I have no problem with people that do like them.
Have fun

Just curious. For those that are getting 7-9 hours SOT, are you using your phones that much every day? Is it work related? I have an iPhone X for work and typically have 8-12 hours of screen time. I will need to charge during the day occasionally as I am on meetings all day coupled with crappy cell coverage at home which kills the battery. My Note 10+ barely tops 1 hour of screen time, guess I'm too busy working to use it.

My note 10+ is my business phone , so its used all the time , from phone calls to writing customer notes and work to be done ...10 to 12 SOT 1 day battery about 50/50 wifi and data

An iPhone X with that tiny battery getting 8-12 hours of SOT, and a Note 10+ barely getting 1 hour?

Something's wrong here... It's literally impossible to fully drain a Note 10+ 4300mAh battery even if you ran a 3D game at max graphics settings with full volume, while also updating apps as well as the flashlight on and everything running in the background.

Yea 1 hour SOT virtually makes the phone unusable. I hear all these great stories about iPhones SOT but yet I see far more people charging their iPhones than I do Galaxy's. Something doesn't add up.

My Note10 Plus is my life lol till i get the Note20 Ultra.

The OS not getting 3 years of updates can also fall on who makes the CPU. Qualcomm has allegedly passed on updating chips just because they can.

Samsung kind of has their hands tied in this case, it seems. They're at Qualcomm's mercy.

Been a Samsung Galaxy Note user since Note 3.
Upgraded my Note 9 to a Note 10 plus a few weeks ago, a christ what a disappointment.
Problems
1 Really bad standby time battery drain.
2 screen stutter ( even in safe mode)
3 Biggest problem, vibrating rear of phone as I was watching a Video. Felt like it would vibrate itself to death.
4 Poor network reception.
5 ******* useless Fs and face unlock.

Out of curiosity I decided to get myself a iPhone 11 pro max as jesus what a difference, fantastic battery life and none of the above problems. Also a flat screen.

Anyone else think the mote 10 plus is a step down from the note 9?

Going from Android to iOS is a HUGE difference. Apple has more of a restrictive walled garden approach. The things i miss about iOS are:

1. iMessage
2. ZERO BLOATWARE FROM CARRIERS
3.frequent updates as well as OS updates
4.Great cameras

That being said I prefer the freedom that Android brings.

I hr SOT on the Note 10+ = something wrong

Sorry, did not mean to imply that I get only 1 hour screen time before the battery drains. Just that I seem to use to phone so little anymore since I'm tethered to my work phone all day. Working from home all the time now and having multiple laptops, plus an iPad lying around seems I use the phone less and less.
