Google 24 Hr Live Chat Support

Every time I look at the 24 hour live chat support, it is grayed out and unavailable. Are others seeing this too? Is there a trick to actually getting Live Chat Support to work?

My selection fields are blue.

they may be dealing with a high number of complaints. Myself as well as others are experiencing an annoying bug with 7.1, signal drops.
 
I think they only have 1 bot running it. When the que gets more than 2 people waiting you get the gray box.

I have found that it takes 3 or 4 tries before it becomes "available".

But to be honest, unless you have a VERY basic question, like "where is the power button", they have no clue.

They don't know android or anything about the phone.

But it was a great "election" point

My dad got a Pixel when I got mine. This was a feature that he was really enthused about. He's tried it a few times and has been really frustrated with that lack of knowledge/familiarity they have with the Pixel. First time he tried, the agent couldn't help him because she only had an iPhone... :-)
 
The support really sucks. They are clueless so far when I have reached out and take way too long for anything.

They couldn't figure out my issue and told me they would get back to me within 24 hours with a solution only to contact me 11 days later with an answer that clearly showed they never understood the question in the first place
 
I figured it's USA exclusive.

I've had the phone and sometimes I'm just curious if Chat is available and so far it never is.
 
I live in Canada and bought through my carrier and I have tried it twice and it sucked both times
 
They had no clue on two issues I chatted about. If it's not written on the sheet in front of them, they are no help.
