Google account sync clarification/help.

Hi,

I am just setting up my Galaxy S3 and going through the Google Account sync settings and I just want to know what "Sync App Data" means and does as well as "Sync People Details". Could someone please clarify?

If you go to "-settings-accounts-google-" it should show your google accounts enabled on the phone. If you click the account it will list what is being synced from that account(contacts, gmail, calendar, etc.). You can also disable and enable each of these individually from there.

I know that part. But what I wanted to know is:

- what things get synced with "app data"

- what things get synced with "peoples details"

I know contacts sync my google contacts onto my phone and I know about web albums and gmail and so on. But I am seeing these new. I don't know what type of data is synced when these are activated.

I do not see either of those on my phone. They may well be Samsung additions.

+1 its known for few days that this option is coming to Android. wait for Google IO to know what details are syncing
