Google Account sync error

Has anyone experienced this? When I go to settings ->Accounts ->Google it says 'sync error' and when I refresh it keeps giving me the error. At the bottom of the screen it says "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly". Can someone check if this is just my phone or widespread please.

Enter to the Account sync settings and look exactly for the service or app that is stuck at sync, turn it off an on again and see if it syncs.

I've had this error recently with my OnePlus one and now with the edge, in both cases have been the Gmail sync, I order to put it back to work I've needed to go to Application settings and clear data on Gmail app then set everything back in Gmail and it begins working again.

'sync error' and when I refresh it keeps giving me the error. At the bottom of the screen it says "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly". My Playstore don't load, Google maps, and YouTube app either HELP!!! PLEASE but my other apps work fine.

Did you disable "Google services"?

Since it's multi Google app problem, I'd suggest removing your Google account from your phobe, then resign into your Google account.

Still no luck, then go to each app in the application manager and clear data.

Solved it on Marshmallow!
Android 6.x has a Power Saving option in the settings which I had on to save battery power which is great. But it ended up blocking the sync (Google bug). I turned off Power Saving, reran the sync and it worked beautifully!

Thanks so much the power saving mode solve my problem on my S5 I updated marshmallow on June 3rd 16 and have had problems ever since my Google account and Samsung account would not sync. Just another Google bug Google is really letting me down this is just one how many problems I have had with Android over the years starting to think about Apple.
