Google account won't sync

So I just got my thunderbolt and it looks great, no dust, light leaks nothing, just one problem... I can't sync with google at all. Every time I try I get sorry password and username don't match. I'm positive the write password is in it is the same password I use to get into my gmail account I dont understand why this isn't working. I'm so frustrated.

figured it out I had to turn of 2 step verification that I had for my email account. Now i just have to figure out how to keep it on and have my gmail sync

Settings > Account & sync... this is where all your email and other data sync... and can be turned off.
