Google assistant activates randomly

S22 on Verizon. I'm sitting here just watching TV, and the google assistant kicks on. Happens randomly throughout the day, maybe as much as 3-4 times per week. No one is saying Ok Google or anything close, and it's happening when it's not even me talking. Anyone else experiencing this?

I turn on the screen and at random times it shows the "listening" screen.

Try force stop the Google app

The random Google talking with tv even radio sometimes it will activate and talk it's been that way for a while, so it's a Google bug.

Yup....I finally just shut off "Listening" - all gone!

Assistants (alexa and bixby as well) wake up "randomly" because it mis-recognizes the audio input as you calling them. if the sound frequency pattern is close/similar enough it mistakes it as a command.
It's just something that the AI's are still too dumb to distinguish correctly. They don't hear and understand like we human beings do.

I've been having this problem for months. Happens several times an afternoon or evening or night when watching something on my devices. It's so annoying. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S21 +.
