Google Assistant from the Power button P30 Pro issue

Hi,

On my P30 Pro, when I short-press the power button to activate Google Assistant, it doesn't recognise voice commands. It only works if I wait for the animation to stop and then tap the mic. However, it works flawlessly if I launch it via the gesture swipe from the bottom on the left or right. Anyone found this or have a resolution?

If you haven't got anything worthwhile to add, don't.

I disabled this option all together because everytime I pressed the button it fired up the assistant. If you are having issues with it. Set region to US or UK. I had castrated Google assistant that didn't because region was set to Thailand.
