I uninstalled Google assistant from my watch. Next day it's back. I uninstalled again. This morning, it's back again.
So i tried uninstalling from my phone but i can't find a way to do it.
Does anyone know how to keep Google assistant from oozing back onto my watch? It drains my battery and it's annoying.

The short answer is, you can't.

It doesn't use very much battery if you don't have voice wake enabled though, and it shouldn't use any at all if you're not actively using the app.

Pretty lame that we were all waiting for this feature for the better part of a year, and now that it's here we're struggling to get rid of it...

I just realized yesterday I had it LOL! I had forgotten when I got the update. On my new phone S22U I didn't set up Hey Google yet but my watch opened my phone to do something for me to have GA on my watch and when I say Hey Google it does come up automatically on my watch. I changed my watch face to an animated one and noticed last night my watch said battery low and normally I go until the next morning. Wonder if it has to do with that or the GA. Either way I like having GA on here. Only used it a couple times so far.

Because of the unexpected battery drain issue.

It only drains battery if always listening is turned on.

That said, the app is definitely only half-baked... it needs a decent amount of work. Although I'm not sure why any of us is surprised, its agoogle product lol.

I'm surprisingly satisfied. Sure it could be better, definitely does what I want it to do!

I run my GW4 Classic via Bluetooth and I do not use AOD, OTA Connectivity, or have it set to listen for "Ok Google" keyword

I'm using it, and like it. but it's far too buggy to be satisfied with.

I just hope they actually fix the bugs rather than just getting bored and giving up. It really should have been updated by now.

What kind of issues or bugs are you running into?

I'm not arguing it's perfection, just wondering

There are a few niggles, but the two main ones that really annoy me are that

it will

speeak in

a bro

ken pat
tern when giving answers, almost like it is losing its connection.

The other is sometimes when I go to make a phone call it will tell me I'm too far from my phone. I have to disconnect and reconnect and then it works fine.

That sucks.. Mine doesn't sputter on me, but the further from my phone the more choppy the connection is.

I had wondered how widespread the issue was... for the record, distance from my phone doesn't seem to matter much.

Even with the irritating issues though, it's still more useful than Bixby lol.
