Google Assistant question.

Hi,

If I disable the Google App and have Ok Google turned off on my s7 edge does that mean I won't get the new Google Assistant option ?

It 'lives' in the Google app, so yeah...

Ok. So if I leave the Google App enabled but Ok Google off what then ?

The only 'OK Google' option to turn off is the 'any screen detection' feature, so if you turn that off, it only means that you'll only be able to use Assistant by saying OK GOOGLE when you manually open the app (or hit the microphone on the widget) or long press the home button. If the switch is on, then you can say OK GOOGLE and spawn Assistant from any screen/app you're using (if I'm not mistaken, for it to work while the phone is in standby/locked, the phone needs to be charging).
