Google assistant rolling out to UK it seems.

I haven't got it yet. I've heard it's not based of carrier or whether your phone is unlocked or not, but on your Google account instead. Hopefully they're enabling it on UK Google accounts now.

I didn't have to do anything. Just that now when I long press the home button it now starts Google assistant rather than Google now.

"When you press the home screen and if you see the Google search box at the top of the screen and 5 boxes at the bottom with reminder, event, timer, alarm, work, and some more under them with restaurants, cafes, ext then that's Google OK.

If it's just a white box which will pop up from the bottom of your screen with the Google Assistant logo on it you have assistant" from another forum I use.

You may have Google Assistant and not be aware of it, even by long pressing the home key.

Some people, who have it now, have said that after long pressing the home key Google Now was coming up. When they went into the Google Now settings Google Assistant was right there at the top and just needed to be enabled.

This does not happen to everyone, but it does happen.

Just checked and I now have Google Assistant. Yesterday it was Google Now. I'm with Vodafone UK

Nothing for me yet... It's not based on carrier or Google app version, but based on your Google account and if you have the latest version of Google Play Services.

I received it a little while ago. I'm on Vodafone Uk
