Google Assistant timing out

All right, so I have a 2018 Ford sport 2.0 t with Android Auto. I really literally use Sirius XM satellite radio. I've noticed that when I'm using Sirius XM radio and I verbally say the "ok Google" command from the serious XM satellite environment that quite a few times the Google Assistant will activate then timeout and I don't realize that starts saying my text message or whatever I want to do and it's not even listening to me. So, done a lot of testing with this, and I think that it's because the Google Assistant has taught me out switching from the Sirius XM satellite environment to the Android auto environment. I tried to press and hold on the little voice recognition button on the steering wheel to activate Google Assistant and it seems to work a little bit better when switching between the two. Just wanted to let everyone know about this.

Time outs were a known bug in the latest Android Auto release, though. Not sure if it's been fixed or not, but make sure you keep your AA app up to date.

Got you got you I'll keep a lookout for that didn't realize that was one of the known bugs. Yeah all those apps are fully updated in my play store.

Yeah, unfortunately that build had A LOT of them... the biggest one was being able to disable sounds on notifications, but that meant your notifications got stuck on the AA screen until swiped away (and this might not have been a huge issue, except even music track changes prompt a 'stuck' notification)

Are there any other versions of Android Auto APK files that I can sideload to fix that issue?

You can try older versions, and yes, the APKs are around, but since those are a legal gray area, we do not discuss nor post links to those. Not hard to find, however.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I think I'll just wait for Google to officially push out an update via play store for Android auto application. I mean I know it can side load APK files all I want but it also attends to get annoying with all these downgrades and updates if you know what I mean.
