Google Calendar - Date Indicator

How come the date on the Calendar App remains static, always indicating "31", and never changing to reflect the actual date/day of the month?

Pretty much every handset I used up to now, until the current Android One I have, used to have that little feature where the date/day would change. It just a small annoyance, so not a big thing or anything to sour me on the Android One experience or software or the Calendar App itself.

I wish in future updates to the Calendar App, Google might address this...I know, I know...first world problems and such...I know how pathetic this sounds in the grand scheme of things...

Any info?

Huh...yours works. I guess perhaps your Google Calendar app is the latest upgraded version...

Today (Aug. 13) on my Android One, Nokia 7.1, running Android Pie, my calendar shows "31" ...eh who knows...it might be a matter of a few more updates...or not...

What launcher are you using? Not all calendar app icons are compatible with all launchers. Some icons will have the current date on some launchers but a static "31" on others.

I haven't paid a LOT of attention to it but I think it's been that way for a while...

If you install Nova Launcher, it'll work fine. Did it ever work before Pie?

Yep. The previous device I used was running Android Marshmallow 6.0, and it was working on that one... but it wasn't an Android One device... so it wasn't running stock Android but a skin...

If you install Nova Launcher, it'll work fine. Did it ever work before Pie?

I use nova and mine has shows the 31. I don't recall what it has shown in the past with os and past devices. Currently I have the nova launcher with Z2 force as the device running pie.

That 31 will show on the launcher if your using a icon pack , but if leave it stock icon pack should show otherwise something up with the stock app .

It works for me with icon packs on Nova. Trying to find the setting ...

Try the following -- open Nova Settings, then Look & Feel>Icon Style>Icon Theme, then tap the menu button at the upper right and Reset Custom Icons. Now see if the calendar icon shows the right date.
