The reason I am trying to use the Desktop version of Google Calendar is I discovered that the Calendar app prevents me from changing the dates on a repeating event (See the bug I filed at Problems changing repeating events in Android Calendar). See my signature for details on the current version, which was updated at the Sprint store, and not rooted.
To see this problem, do the following on the Samsung Moment:

To see this problem, do the following on the Samsung Moment:
- Browse to Search for Google Calendar From Android Browser
- Do not select the first entry which is m.google.com/calendar. Instead, select the second one which is www.google.com/calendar
- Notice that what is presented is not what I see on the PC's desktop browser.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click on the Desktop link which points to http://www.google.com/calendar/render?hl=en
- See the following message popup:
Code:
The page at 'http://www.google.com' says: Sorry, you are trying to use Google Calendar with a browser that isn't currently supported. Press OK to view a read only version of your calendar. Press Cancel to continue loading Google Calendar and hope for the best!
- Then press the OK button.
- Notice that a great many controls are missing on that page that should be there, such as clicking on an event. Go ahead, try it. The browser opens up a new window, that then just redisplays the a "month view".
- Can I replace it some other browser that gives me the full blown Google Calendar web interface, and not present to me a crippled version of it?
- Or, is there a way to fake out Google's servers into thinking it is a full blown browser, and only for that specific Google page?
