Google Calendar: Exchange Calendar is read only

I bought a Pixel but am finding that the Google Calendar App is only displaying my work exchange Calendar as read only. I can create new entries and these are editable but not entries not created on the phone. Does anyone know the solution? I have tried deleting accounts, force stopping the calendar and clearing the cache. All don't work...

Hi, were you able to find a resolution to this issue? I read somewhere of this known issue, but I don't think a fix has been put in place yet.
