Google calendar export question

If I export my Google calendar from their webite to my computer, does that do a exact complete calendar backup? Ie if I then deleted all Google calendar entries and the import the exported file back into Google, would anything be lost or missing or would it restore back to the exact calendar that was in place before I deleted the entries?
