When I set a reminder for an event on the calendar (eg. 10 minutes before and 20 mins. before.) The reminder will come up on the screen, fade away. Then keep reoccurring unless I slide the X on the bottom to dismiss it. I don't see a setting to stop the reoccurence. This wears down the battery if I'm not watching the screen.
