Google calendar will not sync on my s8+

Hello

I been searching for an answer but cannot find one.

on my S8+ i go to accounts google and then sync all, all that are ticked sync except chrome (not bothered about) and calendar, the last date my calendar synced was 10/01/18, when the others sync the circle thing spins on all the others but stays stationary on the 2 I've mentioned.

I have tried disabling Samsung calendar in the app but it will still not sync.

Any other ideas please.

Just to add I have opened and closed chrome app and it has synced

I think I sorted it, it as Samsung calendar that I was trying to sync with the google sync option, i found the google calendar opened it and it synced no problem. all sorted now.
