I am using the side loaded one. If you look on last page or so of photos I did a comparison shot. I used the method from XDA in this thread.

Can you provide a link to the apk.
I just looked at the link Jeepentj posted. That is same developer of the Note 9 version I am using. I'll probably use his since has wide angle in it.
So is that safe to install? Slightly leary to install an unofficial app file....lol.
Too late, I already installed it and can confirm that it works.

GCam/Night Sight is clearer and more vibrant
My gcam copied over from my Note 9 and works lovely.
^^ This 100%, I have tried numerous versions of the Gcam apk on non-pixel devices and every time it was super slow and not at all useable. Can you show a screenshot of how you have the settings? I tried the gcam port on my s9+ as recently as a month ago, and it was so slow it basically froze up whenever it launched. Getting my s10 in a few weeks and would love to be able to use this. Thanks.
It seems to add more blue though. Or is that just me?
I just tried the link above from XDA and it's a much cleaner process with all the settings loaded for you. One thing I had to do that is not mentioned on the steps is I had to create the /gcam/configs folder as extracting wasn't creating that path. Can you show a screenshot of how you have the settings? I actually just found the redit post I used for the Note 9. All the manual steps and settings are listed here.I just tried the link above from XDA and it's a much cleaner process with all the settings loaded for you.
