To everyone, I've been using the Google camera app on my phone which I love so far, the one thing I've noticed is that the shutter button taste of a third of the screen and its not see through either. Is there anyway to change this interface like the Motorola camera app where you can take pictures through it through the viewfinder? Honesty love the shutter speed of the Google camera app vs the stock camera app on the phone though.

I don't have the Google Camera app installed, but are you sure it's actually cutting off the view? The camera sensor has a 4:3 aspect ratio while your screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio, so you should have some significant blank space on your screen when using it as a viewfinder. The Motorola camera app defaulted to 16:9 for me, but that's only using 9.7MP of the sensor while 4:3 uses all 13MP.

You know ironically right after I posted this, I downloaded the Nexus camera application which works much better. Thanks for the response though.

Where did you find this "nexus camera" application? Because the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 use the Google Camera application that's available on the play store.

Yeah... I would be wary of that application. Google does not produce anything called "Nexus Camera" and I can't find it in the play store.

Hey listen to start Nexus camera application. It's interesting though in the Google Play Store on the my Google account come I can't find the application anymore but its working just fine if it didn't, I was there I would remove and install an application at work. The only thing I didn't like about the Google camera application was the shutter button took up half the screen otherwise I would still use it.

The reason the shutter button takes up half the screen is because it's giving you accurate 4:3 view of what the image actually is. Instead of extra space of 16:9 using the whole screen.
