Google charging cord

Really?? Ive never once had to replace an official iphone cable...now a 3rd party ya theyre cheap, but the official ones have always been reliable for me and my wife.

Neither have I for the ones I've used, your but I'm very careful how I handle my cables. Incidentally, the genius crew thinks they are poorly made too every time I swap on out under warranty for my daughter they pass a remark on how easily they break where the cable meets the connector. It's a matter of how they abused and stored but they are a bit delicate.

the problem I run into with the lighting cable is burnt mark on one of the terminal not the normal break at the connector end .. but I've had issues with micro USB charging cable as well . the only one I've seen holding up well is USB c charging cables .

If you're getting a burnt mark that's usually a sign of high resistance at the connection point. In the electrical utility industry we call that a hot spot so you're getting a bit of heat buildup during charging. Do you work in a dusty or dirty environment?

Yeah all the time , you think that has something to do with it?

Don't know why Google scrimped and made the cord so short.
You can't charge your phone and talk on it at the same time.
Don't even understand why they even put such a short cord in the box.
Scrimp and save at the consumers expense.
Cord should be at least 5-6' long.

Not 32".
Its totally worthless.

Disagree with your remarks , I dont have an issue when talking on my phone while plugged in. Its not to often I talk with i plugged in tho, because of battery life :)
But cord to short, for me ? No its fine

Yes ive seen this before with many other people and not to say its your daughter, but the peers of mine arent really careful...not to say you need to baby it, but these folks will force push unnecessarily and cause bending (i catch them all the time with my cables and point them out haha)

I havent to replace a cord yet for my 2016 SE. Thats the oldest iphone I have . But it does feel kinda cheaply made .

It's a question of how rough they are handled. My daughter disconnects the cord by pulling on the wire. even storing them sometimes people throw them into a bag and the wire gets bent at the connector so it weakens at that point. my wife has a habit of talking on the phone with it connected but she pulls on it because she's too far from the outlet.

Found the cable I believe came with 6P...perfect for AAView attachment 293353

I have one like that by iOrange I believe. I needed an extremely short cable so I didn't have a big loop sitting iny center console. The one I have is I believe 18", but as others have said, cords that short are extremely hard to find. Even 3' cords can be hard to find for a reasonable price.

But it could be worse. My Dad has a Kyocera Dura XV LTE flip phone, and his was a cable with a thick polyurethane jacket. It's one of those that's hard to make straight after it's been folded up (which I don't like to do anyway, bit that's how it comes in the box) and measured around 18". That's fine for a cord you'd use in your vehicle for something like Android Auto, bit fo a primary charging cord it's a PITA. Unless the outlet is next to a low table, it's almost useless. So I got him a braided 3' cable and it works a lot better.

Seriously? Come on, man. Don't be a whiner. They sell longer cords.

Who has a home phone ?
Haven't had one in so long , can't be remember when
When the phone is charging, I need to be able to pick it up and talk or email , or get on the internet..
If a 20" cord needs to be 20"so it can charge.
Increase the wire size for longer cords.
If a short cord is great for you, great.
For everybody in I know.
They throw a short cord away as soon as they can get another one.
Problem is when you buy a cord.
Does anybody be know the wire size.

I'm not buying a cord from Google.
Don't like a C to a C cord.

Google should of figured this out from Day one.
Rapid charger for Google only.

Has to be a better way. Than only their plug in short cord charger.

Ha, I thought you guys with the threes were wild about the wireless charging.
I have long cords and I have short cords. The longer cord take longer to charge the phone then the shorter ones. I charge overnight so no matter.
