Google Charging Stand

I have the original Google Charging Stand that I used with my old Pixel 3.
When I play the Pixel 6 on the Stand, it reports either "CHARGING WIRELESS or CHARGING WIRELESS RAPIDLY". What determines the charging rate, and what's the difference in the rate? Thanks

It might have to do with how close to 100% the charge level is. As the phone gets closer to 100%, charging rate naturally slows down.
