Google Chrome and Google Maps

Recently, I've come to notice that when I'm using Google Chrome in Android and clicking on a Map URL, it opens Google Maps in another Chrome tab as opposed to just opening the Google Maps app. I have a feeling that maybe I made an error and set this up as a default action, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how I did this and more importantly revert this setting so that I can have the Google Maps app launch instead of another tab in Chrome launching.

Can anyone help me reset this setting so that any time I click a Map URL, it defaults to the Google Maps app?

If you go to the App Manager and go to Google Maps, there should be an option that reads 'SET AS DEFAULT'. There, just make sure the option to 'Go to supported URLs' is set to 'In this app' and not to 'In other app'.
