Google Contact Sync Problem

I have this similar problem but trying to get my contacts from my phone to my google acct without wiping them all

Here's a possible answer to your situation...

1 - Make sure Data Delivery is enabled on your X. It probably is, but check anyway...

Settings > Date Manager > Data Delivery (make sure all boxes are checked)

2 - Activate the sync in your Gmail account ...

Settings > Accounts > Your Gmail account > make sure all boxes are checked. Then hit menu > sync now.

This will instantly sync everything between your X and your Gmail account - email, contacts, calendar. From that point on, you will have instantaneous sync when any change is made either via PC Gmail or on the X, AND, best of all, this includes email, contacts, and calendar. Extremely efficient.

AFTER you check to be sure your Gmail account on your PC has all your contacts listed there, THEN you would delete the contacts list on the My Verizon account to eliminate old, duplicated and otherwise messy contact info. Should work very well!

PS - Set up your Gmail to fetch your Pop 3 email accounts, if you have them. This will consolidate your email (Gmail can send return emails with the Pop 3 address on it to avoid confusion).
