Google contacts not syncing with Samsung Android Google contacts

[Android Central Question]

I have a Samsung S8. Contacts on my laptop do not transfer to my S8 nor do new Contacts transfer to the laptop. How can I fix this?

Settings>cloud and accounts>accounts>Google... Make sure sync contacts is turned on.
