Google Dialer used 4 g's of data! Help

So I check my phone at the end of wrk day and all my data is gone. 50$ in overages. My nexus 4 is telling me that google dialer uses 4 gigs of data. i dont know what this is dont know how to use it and im pretty sure something criminal is going on. My telecomm provider couldnt tell me anything. contacting google is impossible apparently. What the hell do i do?

Welcome to Android Central
You should be able to disable background data for that app. Not sure why it used so much though...

If it was doing the caller ID thing, maybe it ate a lot of data?

Doesn't explain why it would use 4GB. My dialer has used only 21 KB this month

Maybe other apps are getting the dialer to send phone logs? I dunno. :what:
