Google quietly backs away from encrypting new Lollipop devices by default | Ars Technica
Does this mean that if you buy the Nexus 6 through Google Play and/or Motorola from now on that FDE is disabled? How do we know to check for that, and that we wouldn't be getting a refurbished product? If this article is true, it would save people the step of doing it themselves should they decide to root their device. But then as soon as Android M is out, it would be enabled anyway when doing the system update.
