Google Drive, Dropbox, Zumodrive, others.

Saying that Android is made by Google it would seem to be a better option for syncing things to your android phone, right? You only get 5GB free where as Dropbox gives you 25GB free.

What are the differences between these two services and which one do you think will be a better option for our phones?

Between Google Drive and Google Music, I can't lose!!!!

Almost finished downloading my items on my laptop to Google Drive and the only bad thing i can say about it right now is that it does take a while to sync just like Google Music takes an eternity to upload music.......must be a Google thing I guess.

I'm getting an additional 80GB on top of the 5GB free for $20/yr cause I got grandfathered in. Kinda makes me wish I upgraded to the $50/yr for 200GB before the pricing changes today :p

Oh, just to note. The 25GB free dropbox space you get through having an HTC phone is free for 2 years and then you have to pay for it if you decide to keep it after.

Youre still lucky. lol. $1.60 a month for 80 gigs. haha

Google definitely has a pricing advantage over all the other competitors in my opinion.

And the integration with gapps, on top of that. To me, if ur an Android user this is a nobrainer.

Im not even sure how Dropbox would be appealing, at 4 times the cost and less integration. Surely they'll have to change?

I dont know, i am pretty happy with my DropBox.
BUT its been around a lot longer. Im sure there will be some UI updates and other changes to better enhance Drive.

Yeah, but Google Drive is about 75% cheaper than Dropbox storage atm

my question is can I get rid of/delete files from my computer that I store in google drive, once they are uploaded. I know there's a folder on my desktop for google drive. the purpose for me would be to free up space on the computer, so if all I'm doing is moving everything to the drive folder and still using the same amount of hard drive space what's the point? can anyone shed light on this?

Sure. Put the files within a folder within your Google drive folder and then set your Google drive desktop app to not sync that specific folder.

I'm on dropbox because it's simple, useful and works reliably. I really like the android auto-picture sync feature.

I'm keeping my eye on skydrive since it has the most complete office document support which is the one feature I'd like to have that's missing from dropbox.
