The new version of Google Earth, posted 2/24, works on the Atrix. In the notes it says that they fixed issues related to multi-core processor handsets. Just downloaded it and it works.
Looking for places around the world, isnt that what google maps is for? Don't get me wrong I love google Earth on PC, I use it a lot for finding 4x4 and dirt bike trails, then I can export them to my garmin GPS. But what benefits does it have on your phone over just using google maps? This is a honest question, not just trying to be a butt.
I quit running it when I realized what a battery hog it was. It was certainly cool to run it from a handset, but the real world value to me is not worth the drain. It's still loaded in case I find a need for it, but if I want to zoom around the earth for S&G, I'll do it from the desktop....
