This happens when the Bluetooth is paired and connected, say, to the car.

I want to do a Google search by voice, but the car doesn't let me do that. When
I try to do it on the phone, it shows "Initiating..." and nothing else.

What do you suggest?

Thanks

It could be something with the Car. I have noticed that newer cars with newer Bluetooth systems disable certain sounds and functions on a phone. For example, my 2010 Mercedes has an older system and no navigation and doesn't limit what I can do. However, my parents 2012 with the newer system and navigation disables all sounds on the phone by default. That could be the issue or it could be on Samsungs end programming. It might not play nice with car bluetooth because of conflicting voice recognition software.

The only thing I've seen that works is unclicking the "media audio" in the Bluetooth menu. Of course you probably are looking for sounds to come out of the car speakers. Around other forums has said that Jellybean 4.2 has fixed this issue.
