Almost immediately after downloading Express, my battery dropped 30% and turned itself off. Plugged in all night and didn't charge to 100%, now battery dropping like a rock again. Anyone else experience this? I just deleted the app to see if it makes a difference.

Moved from the General News forum to the General Help forum.

Which phone do you have?

Considering the age of the phone, and the fact that most people drain their batteries WAY too far down (40% is low, 10%-20% is asking for a fast failure), I'd suspect that the battery may be bad.

After uninstalling the app, have you noticed the battery return to normal? When you first opened Google Express, did it ask you to turn on your Location and Improve Accuracy? If so, go to Settings>Location, and make sure it's set to Battery Saving. Also, tap Menu>Scanning in that menu, and make sure Wi-fi Scanning is off.

Battery back to normal, and even improved after Nougat update.

Hmm, that makes me wonder if Google Express was coincidental. If you never reinstalled it, this might indicate more of a problem with the battery, as previously suggested.
