Google+ Feature Request & Bug Report List

Now that Google+ has been out for a few weeks - and you've hopefully had a chance to use it - lets start a list of features you'd like to see, or bugs you think you've found. Google + is as good - if not better - than any social networking site I've used. Actually, the fact it's the only one I have a desire to use is very telling. I just wasn't digging Rantbook (I can move these ranters to a rant circle with G+) and I hated the idea of having to think about a 160 character limit as much as I hate tiered data.

Google+ will only get better, and I'm sure Google has plenty of new stuff coming that we are all going to love. Google does monitor the AC Forums. So, Whether it's an improvement of an existing feature, a feature you love and miss from one of the other social networking platforms, or a unique and awesome idea of your own -- list them below.

  1. Fan pages!!! Facebook - without any customer requests to do so - decides to make random changes that none of my friends particularly cared for. I liked becoming a fan of something like "Stop the oil spill by stuffing BP executives into the leaking pipe" fan page. Yes, they are still there, but renamed to something that isn't what I liked. Oh and when you do so, let me place those fan pages in my Circles. There are other things I'm a fan of that I only want certain circles to see ;)
  2. Viewing those who have +'1'ed a post in the mobile app. My button is not click-able - maybe it's Samsung Fascinate problem.
  3. The ability to use the +(name) feature in the Mobile App.
  4. There's something about the notifications screen that isn't working well for me. Sometimes I click a notification and nothing happens. Please create a button next to the "find people" search box that brings up the same screen the view all hyperlink does in notifications panel.
  5. My status plus.google.com/me page displays the number of people that have me in their circle. There is a rather large discrepancy between that number and the number shown when I bring up the screen to manage my circles o_O
  6. Facebook never listened to repeated requests for a dislike button. Perhaps Google will come up with their own version.

Maybe these things exist? If they don't - they are hard to find - so please make them more obvious.

Re: Google+ Feauture Request & Bug Report List

Dear Google,

Add more features. I bore easily.

I agree with all 5 of those.

"Feature" is spelled wrong in the title of this thread.

If you have multiple profile pictures, your avatar doesn't always display your default profile picture in posts and comments.

Dedicated pages for musicians/artists, businesses, non-profits, and the like... and I don't mean lump them all together. For example, musician/artist pages will have built in audio support, schedule, etc; and similar functions for appropriate categories.

[edit] Oh, and -1 for sure.

I find the huddle app very slow to deliver messages, or they fail. Or they get 30+ duplicate messages lol. Needs a bit of work :p

no bugs yet, but i do like:
If you click ur profiile pic, it cycles thru until you find the one you wanna use!!~!!
EPIC!

However you still have to hit "edit profile" to change your default profile picture. Cycling alone won't do it.

How about simply being able to edit your comments on the mobile Android app? I typed "whuch" instead of "which" last night and wasn't even able to quickly fix it. :\

This, too! This applies to the desktop web version of google+ even, I changed my picture and it worked, except many times in posts & comments it's still the older picture.

I'd like to see Huddle on the desktop (though, isn't there a chat feature within Hangout?). (tighter) Integration among all Google properties, ability to share things directly from Reader (and do it better so you can actually specify Plus groups from within, versus the hacked way that was done with Buzz), integration with Maps (ability to see public posts on the map and the ability to check-in from Maps to Plus)

I have a Droid 2, so no front facing camera, but what about Hangouts on the mobile app?

Maybe this is in there somewhere and I just can't find it, but...

I can search Twitter for tweets that interest me, regardless of whether they're from people I'm following. There should be a way to do the same thing on G+ -- search all public posts (including posts from people not in any of my circles, and people who don't have me in their circles).

Taking this a step further, it would be nice to be able to create and save these searches, so I'll see matching posts in my stream whenever they appear. It would be a great way to discover new people to follow.

i believe three is working in the mobile app,

it works if you type in @(name) when you post it shows up as +(name)

it just doesnt work if you try selecting there name, hoping it sends you to there profile, but it doesnt.

Video Hangout feature on Android app would be sweet to use with my Thunderbolt. Probably didn't do it for network reasons though. It wouldn't have to show everyone on the screen at once, just whoever is talking.

A way to collapse comments on the desktop site would be nice...currently have to refresh the page.
Minus 1 button.
A way to not show certain circles in the stream (this is supposedly coming)

I have noticed sometimes while using chrome when I hit view all under who people follow that it comes up with a very small window. When it happens it also locks out the feedback button so I can't send it that way.

The ability to reply to a post via email notification.

The ability to sync google latitude with profile. (That might be a bad idea)
