Which do you use? And is it possible to clear a default app on wear?

Unfortunately, I do not use either. The accuracy of the moto 360 or any other wearable watch is horrible. Instead, I use the Fitbit one, the Fitbit software and MyFitnessPal. The Fitbit is spot on and 100% accurate. Now as a general rule of thumb, around 7000-8000 steps on the Moto 360 equate to about 10,000 steps providing I moved my arms enough while I was walking.

I have used both, but I think I like Moto body best. I have not been successful in finding any information on removing default apps.

I used fitbit for awhile, but in the evenings I sit in a rocking chair, and it added steps. The battery charger stopped working, and I stopped using it. The 360 does not register as well, and tracked nothing on my elliptical time.

I used both and they both seem to count high for me, but I'm not going for absolute accuracy anyways. I just use them as general "ballpark" numbers.

Currently trying Asus' Wellness tracker available on the ZenWatch.

I use Google Fit because it's always reading my Hear Rate.

To change applications to run go to android wear and go, for instance heart rate, then you can choose Moto Body or Googly Fit.

Moto Body just because I think it's heart rate monitor looks better.

During my workout today moto body's heart rate couldn't get my heart rate while fit got it every time...usually motos has been super quick. Hopefully this gets fixed for me as I prefer motos mainly because you can watch your rate change live

Today during my Mossa MMA workout which includes a lot of punches, push ups and arms all over the place did not register many steps...I also use the elliptical a few times a week so your feedback is positive news as well.

I have the same problem as you have with Moto body not working when fit does... I can't figure out what's wrong... Both are using the same captors...

Not allowed to wear a watch, or rings or jewellery while training so I can't get a good fitness profile anyway

Let me clarify, my "training" is Xbox fitness on Xbox one lol...not the real deal like yours but still a decent home workout. The digital instructor doesn't tell me what to do! :p a

Probably results in less bruises as well :)

I use Moto Body because Google Fit can be disabled while Moto Body measuring cannot be disabled, so this saves battery, I suppose.
Steps are quite accurate, and heart rate too, when it gets a reading. Distance is not.

How are you able to get frequent heart rate readings while exercising? My 360 requires me to be absolutely still to get a reading.

Just got my Moto 360, but cannot seem to get it to do a continuous monitor. I can manualy check my heart rate, but thought is was supposed to keep a check on it. Looking in moto body, it shows 0/30 min(s) heart activity ... confused .. please help

The Moto 360 does not perform continuous heart rate monitoring; and I'm not actually aware of any Android Wear device that currently does.

The Moto Body heart activity that you are referencing is Moto Body's tracking of activity performed for more than 5 minutes at a detected activity level akin to walking or higher.

Some watch faces, like Ultimate, will allow you to request continuous heart rate. Well...pretty close to continuous, as you'd kill a battery in no time if it were always on.

neither app seem to work for me. they seem to work fine, until i get on the treadmill (i use the phone to watch movies) and run for half an hour. zero steps get recorded during that time i guess since my phone is stationary. any ideas? is there a setting to have it use the watch instead of the phone for step counts?

You haven't disabled the apps on the watch, have you? Moto Body tracks my every workout on a treadmill, walking or running.
